Waller Financial Planning Group is honored to announce that Larry Waller, Founder, has been awarded the 2009 David Cohen Lifetime Achievement Award. The Columbus, Ohio chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors presents a lifetime achievement award annually to a member who has demonstrated consistent leadership in the profession of financial planning as well as in the community.
Larry's career has become a model of excellence in financial planning to which all members of his firm aspire. A graduate of The Ohio State University, he became a licensed life insurance agent in 1969. Larry (pictured above with David Cohen) has also earned certifications as a Chartered Life Underwriter, a Certified Financial Planner Practitioner, and a Chartered Financial Consultant. Since founding Waller Financial Planning Group in 1981, Larry has grown the firm into a full-scale financial planning services enterprise.
Larry is also a leader in his community. He is a Past President of Columbus Chapter of Society of Financial Service Professionals and a member of the organization's Hall of Fame. He is also a Past Member of Riverside Methodist Hospital Planned Giving Committee and a Member of the Finance Committee for Southwest City Schools' Education Foundation. Larry has established the Waller Family Endowment to The James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute and supports the OSU - Hanna Neil Legacy Society.
